Details Details Year of Version 2011 Dates Adopted: July 12, 2011 Type of Text Implementing Rules/Regulations Subject Matter Copyright and Related Rights (Neighboring Rights), IP Regulatory Body Notes This Decree renews the approval for the Centre français d’exploitation du droit de copie (the French Copy Right Exploitation Center)for a five years term.
This Center is a collective management society regulated by Articles L. 311-1 to L. 311-8 of the Intellectual Property Code, which aims to defend authors and publishers’ rights against illicit copies of their works. In order to do so, it contractually allows organizations to make paper or electronic copies and in return they pay royalties which are passed on to the authors and publishers whose works have actually been copied by this Centre français d’exploitation du droit de copie.

ARRETE Arrêté du 12 juillet 2011 portant renouvellement de l’agrément du Centre français

d’exploitation du droit de copie

Le ministre de la culture et de la communication,

Vu le code de la propriété intellectuelle (partie législative), et notamment ses articles L. 122-10 à L. 122-12 ;

Vu le code de la propriété intellectuelle (partie réglementaire), et notamment ses articles R. 322-1 à R. 322-2 ;

Vu l’arrêté du 13 juillet 2006 portant agrément du Centre français d’exploitation du droit de copie,

Arrête :

Article 1

L’agrément du Centre français d’exploitation du droit de copie (CFC) en qualité de société de perception et de répartition des droits de reproduction par reprographie est renouvelé.

Article 2

Le secrétaire général est chargé de l’exécution du présent arrêté, qui sera publié au Journal officiel de la République française.
