Year of Version 2006 Dates Entry into force: December 7, 2006 Adopted: November 22, 2006 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter Other Notes This law was promulgated by Royal Decree on November 22, 2006. It provides, inter alia, that the authorization for placing a drug on the market can only be issued if the drug has met the requirements of a prior relevant testing and that the manufacturer or importer does have a method of manufacture and control methods ensuring product quality at the stage of industrial production (Art. 8).
In addition, the law provides that any change in the authorization for putting a drug on the market is subject to a transfer authorization issued by the authorities (Art. 12). It also requires the license holder to inform the administration of any changes to the elements of the authorization, including any restrictions imposed by the competent authorities of the country of origin (Art. 13).
