Year of Version 2013 Dates Adopted: October 9, 2013 Type of Text Implementing Rules/Regulations Subject Matter Industrial Designs, Enforcement of IP and Related Laws, IP Regulatory Body Notes This Order amends the Registered Designs Act 1949 and certain provisions of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 in their application to the Isle of Man. It replaces the Registered Designs (Isle of Man) Order 2001 amd makes additional amendments in order to correspond to the amendments made to the Registered Designs Act 1949 and the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 by the Registered Designs Regulations 2003, The Community Design Regulations 2005, the Intellectual Property (Enforcement, etc.) Regulations 2006, the Registered Designs Act 1949 and Patents Act 1977 (Electronic Communications) Order 2006 and the Regulatory Reform (Registered Designs) Order 2006.
The amendments to the Registered Designs Act 1949 are provided in article 3(1) and Schedule 1 of this Order.
Article 3(2) and Schedule 2 provide for the modifications of Part IV (registered designs), Schedules 3 & 4 to the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988.
