Year of Version 1990 Dates Amended up to: January 1, 1990 Adopted: January 1, 1962 Type of Text Main IP Laws Subject Matter Trademarks, Geographical Indications, Enforcement of IP and Related Laws, IP Regulatory Body Notes The Trade Marks Law (Cap. 268) has been amended by Law No. 63/1962, Law No. 69/1971, Law No. 206/1990, Law No. 176/2000 and Law No. 121/2006. This consolidated text of the Trade Marks Law includes only the amendments up to Law No. 206/1990. The notification by Cyprus to the WTO under article 63.2 of TRIPS states: 'This Law provides for the registration of trademarks for goods and services and certification trademarks. Article 11 of the Trade Marks Law is also being relevant to the protection of geographical indications.'
