The Dispatch of the Chief Executive No. 57/2005 is issued pursuant to Article 37(1) of the Industrial Property Code (“Legal Regime of Industrial Property” approved by Decree-Law No. 97/99/M of December 13, 1999). It contains the schedule of fees for different types of intellectual property services related to invention patents, utility models, complementary certificate for the protection of medicines and phyto-pharmaceutical products, layout-designs (topographies) of integrated circuits, industrial models and designs, trademarks, names and emblems of establishments, and designation of origins and geographical indications.
Article 2 of this Dispatch states that it shall enter into force the day following its publication. It was published on March 14, 2005; and therefore it came into force on March 15, 2005.
