Year of Version 1977 Dates Entry into force: October 5, 1997 Adopted: August 12, 1977 Type of Text Implementing Rules/Regulations Subject Matter Trademarks, Geographical Indications, Competition, Enforcement of IP and Related Laws Notes The notification by Morocco to the WTO under article 63.2 of TRIPS states:
'This Decree defines the different designations, including appellations of origin, for wine which may be produced and marketed in Morocco.
It should be noted that the National Vini- and Viticultural Commission, the purpose of which is to handle applications for appellation of origin labels and to propose that such labels be granted, is established under Article 12 of this Decree.'
