Year of Version 1994 Dates Entry into force: December 30, 1994 Published: December 29, 1994 Issued: December 24, 1994 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter Enforcement of IP and Related Laws Notes Article 1 of the Law No. 281 of 1994 makes amendments to Articles 1, 2, 3, 3 bis, 4, 5, 8, 10 and 11(3) of the Law No. 48 of 1941 Combating Fraud and Deception. The amendments concern, among others, the imprisonment and fines for false or misleading representations about nature and characteristics, packaging and labeling of goods, and for non-conformity of goods with the contractual specifications. Article 4 of the Law states that it enters into force on the day following its publication in the Official Gazette. The Law was published in the Official Gazette on December 29, 1994; and therefore, it came into force on December 30, 1994
