The Patents, Designs and Marks Act 1986 is structured into 4 sections and 3 schedules.
Schedule 1 provides for amendments to the Trade Marks Act 1938 (c. 22), the Registered Designs Act 1949 (c. 88), and the Patents Act 1977 (c. 77).
Schedule 2 was repealed on October 31, 1994 by Schedule 5 under section 106(2) of the Trade Marks Act 1994 (c. 26).
Schedule 3 provides for a list of repealed provisions and laws.
Section 4(6) and (7) provides for the entry into force of section 1 with Schedule 1, section 2 with Schedule 2, and Section 3 with Part I and II of Schedule 3.
