This consolidated version of Decree of June 12, 1991, on Universities in the Flemish Community takes into account amendments up to the Decree of December 23, 2011, on Various containing Accompanying Measures for the 2012 Budget.
The said amending Decree was published in the Belgian Official Gazette on December 30, 2011, the day on which this consolidated Decree of June 12, 1991 was updated.
The amendments introduced by
Article 7 of the said amending Decree to Article 140, § 1, 2° of this consolidated Decree entered into force on September 1, 2012.
Article 169ter, §1 under Section 8, Chapter VIII of this consolidated Decree provides, inter alia, that discoveries made by the university staff within the framework of the research missions, and by volunteer researchers who carry out research at the university include inventions that may be granted patents, cultivation products, designs and models, topographies of semiconductors, computer programs and databases which can be assigned to commercial purposes for industrial or agricultural application.
