How beekeepers in Bolivia are using IP to build their business and preserve tradition

In Bolivia's lush Chaco mountains, honey producers are uniting to promote a premium product, “Miel del Chaco Chuquisaqueño”. Over 1200 families are working in beekeeping, crafting honey with a spectrum of flavors and hues. WIPO is supporting their efforts to identify their products with a distinctive brand, so customers can identify their authentic product. This helps women entrepreneurs earn independent income while also supporting their families, and supporting producers efforts to broaden the market and pass on a unique craft to the next generations.
