PCT Information Update

BA Bosnia and Herzegovina (fees)

The Institute for Intellectual Property of Bosnia and Herzegovina has notified corrections to the transmittal fee and the fee for requesting the preparation and transmission to the International Bureau (IB) of a priority document, payable to the Office in its capacity as receiving Office. 
The amounts are as follows: 

Transmittal fee................................... BAM 60 
Fee for priority document................ BAM 30

BG  Bulgaria (no longer accepts payment in Bulgarian lev from 1 February 2026)

As from 1 February 2026, payment of fees to the Patent Office of the Republic of Bulgaria can only be made in euro (EUR). It will no longer be possible to pay fees in Bulgarian lev (BGN).

DK Denmark (fees)

As from 1 January 2026, the Danish Patent and Trademark Office has changed the transmittal fee and the fee for requesting the preparation and transmission to the IB of a priority document, payable to the Office in its capacity as receiving Office. The amounts are now as follows: 

Transmittal fee................................. DKK 950 
Fee for priority document.............. DKK 380

EA    Eurasian Patent Organization (fees)

As from 1 February 2026, the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO) will change the amounts of several components of the national fee, in Russian roubles (RUB), payable to it as designated (or elected) Office, as follows:

Unitary procedural fee (for filing, search publication and other processing):....... RUB    70,000

Claim fee for each claim:

in excess of five:....................................................................................................... RUB    7,000
in excess of 20:......................................................................................................... RUB    7,500
in excess of 50:......................................................................................................... RUB    8,000

Examination fee:

for one invention:..................................................................................................... RUB    70,000
for a group of inventions including one independent claim:............................. RUB    70,000
additional fee for the second independent claim:............................................... RUB    40,000
additional fee for each independent claim in excess of two claims:................. RUB    25,000

FI Finland (fees)

Since 1 January 2026, the Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH) has changed the fee for priority document, in euros (EUR), payable to it in its capacity as receiving Office. This amount now is:
 – for a patent: per document, EUR 50.

IL Israel (fees)

The Israel Patent Office in its capacity as receiving Office has informed the IB of the following changes:

-    as from 1 January 2026, the transmittal fee is ILS 656.
-    as from 1 March 2026, the fee for priority document is ILS 104. 

As from 1 January 2026, the Office in its capacity as designated (or elected) Office, has changed the amounts of the national filing fee and the fee for reinstatement of rights, which are: 

national filing fee............................ILS 2,402 
fee for reinstatement of rights     ILS 240

SV El Salvador (number of copies on paper; who can act as agent)

The National Center of Registries (CNR) (El Salvador) has changed the number of copies of an international application required by it if the application is filed on paper – one copy must now be filed, instead of three. 
The Office has also informed about  the requirements as to who can act as agent before the Office in its capacity as receiving Office or designated (or elected) Office, which are now as follows: any person residing in El Salvador; if the agent is a lawyer, they must be a lawyer authorized to practice in El Salvador.

Search fee and preliminary examination fee (Israel Patent Office) 

The Israel Patent Office has notified the IB of amendments to Part I of Annex D (“Fees and Charges”) of its Agreement with the International Bureau concerning its functioning as an ISA/IPEA. These amendments will enter into force on 1 March 2026 and the new amounts of relevant fees are as follows.

Search fee............................................................... ILS    4,203

Preliminary examination fee................................ ILS    1,801 
Late payment fee for preliminary examination 
                                        amount as set out in Rule 58bis.2

As from 1 March 2026, the equivalent amounts of the search fee charged by the ISA/IL, payable to the IB acting as receiving Office, have been established as follows: USD 1,333; CHF 1,064; EUR 1,142.

Patent and Utility Model Documents Forming Part of the Minimum Documentation (inclusion of National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) (France))

The National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) (France) has notified the IB under PCT Rule 34.1(d) of patent documents that will form part of the minimum documentation with effect from 8 March 2026.
Details of the patent documents published by the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) (France) were published in the Official Notices (PCT Gazette) on 8 January 2026. Details of other patent documents constituting the PCT minimum documentation can be found in the Official Notices (PCT Gazette) of 23 October 2025 and 30 October 2025.
