Nice Act (1957): Pursuant to Article 3bis of the said Act, the Government of Egypt declared that the protection resulting from the international registration shall extend to Egypt only at the express request of the proprietor of the mark. Date of effect: March 1, 1967. (see Industrial Property 1966, No.9, p.206 and Industrial Property 1966, No.12, p.271)
