Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT)
Withdrawal by the Republic of Korea of its Declaration Concerning Chapter II
The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify him of the receipt, on June 1, 1990, of the notification of the Government of the Republic of Korea withdrawing the declaration in its instrument of accession to the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) done at Washington on June 19, 1970, to the effect that the Republic of Korea is not bound by the provisions of Chapter II of the said Treaty (see PCT Notification No. 44 of May 14, 1984).
The withdrawal of the said declaration will take effect three months after the day on which the said notification was received, that is, on September 1, 1990. Consequently, from the said date, the Republic of Korea will be bound also by the provisions of Chapter II of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT).
