Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property

Ratification of the Stockholm Act by the Republic of Finland (with the exception of Articles 1 to 12)

The Director of the United International Bureaux for the Protection of Intellectual Property (BIRPI) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and, in accordance with the provisions of the above international instrument adopted at Stockholm, has the honor to notify him that the Government of the Republic of Finland deposited on June 8, 1970, its instrument of ratification dated May 8, 1970, of the Paris Convention of March 20, 1883, for the Protection of Industrial Property, as revised at Stockholm on July 14, 1967, with a declaration to the effect that its ratification shall not apply to Articles 1 to 12.

Pursuant to the provisions of Article 20(2)(c) and (3) of the Stockholm Act of the said Convention, Articles 13 to 30 will enter into force, with respect to the Republic of Finland, three months after the date of this notification, that is, on September 15, 1970.
