WIPO’s Traditional Knowledge Division is looking for an intern to work with us in Geneva as of April 1, 2023, for an initial period of six months, possibly renewable for another six months. The ideal candidate would have a background in intellectual property (IP) law, an advanced university degree, and an interest in the relationship between IP and traditional knowledge, genetic resources and/or traditional cultural expressions and intergovernmental processes. Above all, she/he should have strong organizational skills, with the ability to work within strict time constraints and meet deadlines; excellent written and oral communication skills in English, and, preferably, good knowledge of Spanish.
The selected candidate will participate in the work of the Division relating to the WIPO Intergovernmental Committee on Intellectual Property and Genetic Resources, Traditional Knowledge and Folklore (IGC).
