National Event on IP and Competition |

During the General Assemblies in 2014, we have been requested to assist INDECOPI in organizing a meeting on the interface between intellectual property and competition. The main purpose of the meeting is to promote a discussion on experiences in South American countries involving the treatment of that interface by national competition authorities and courts. After a number of exchanges with the LAC Bureau and with INDECOPI, it was agreed that the IP and Competition Policy Division (IPCPD) would finance the participation of two experts (one from Chile, the other from Brazil) and the LAC Bureau would finance one expert from Argentina. A copy of the draft programme has been attached. |
