In Chile, the complete Workshop program will take place and as usual, it would be followed by a two-month distance learning course during which the participants would practice drafting patent claims oriented by the Tutors. Certificates would be awarded to those having completed both the workshop and the distance learning course.
Since I will be in Chile, during the week of the Workshop I propose a follow-up meeting with the INAPI Coordinators of the activities with the Universities. In 2013, we held a meeting with both the INAPI Coordinators and five Chilean Universities participating in the WIPO University Initiative (UI). At that occasion, we have discussed with them the activities carried out so far and coordinated follow-up actions. Therefore, the proposed meeting is to see with these five Universities where they are now on their projects and to identify with the INAPI Coordinators a number of additional universities in Chile interested in participating in the UI. |
