Titre : Leveraging the market potential and intangible asset of the Kisii soapstone through Innovation and Intellectual Property
Description : following a project submission (copy attached) by the Kenyan participants at the FIT-Japan funded Regional Seminar on Leveraging Innovation and Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) for Local Development in Sub-Saharan Africa, that took place in Rehovot, Israel, in December 2012, the Government of Kenya (letter attached) requested WIPO to support the project with technical and financial assistance, aiming at branding and leveraging the intellectual property (IP) asset of the Kisii soapstone.
