| Description : |
In the framework of WIPO Strategic Goal VI, the objectives will be to:
(i) to consider the impact of IP protection and enforcement on the social and economic development of Qatar;
(ii) to examine the minimum standards and flexibilities contained in Part III of the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS Agreement);
(iii) to review topical issues, including consumer awareness-raising as a preventive measure and the equitable disposal of infringing goods; and
(iv) to highlight the importance of national and regional strategies for effective cooperation, including public/private partnerships. |
