Enforcement of intellectual property rights (IPRs), including fighting against counterfeiting and piracy, is one of the most important challenges faced at the current stage by the relevant authorities and agencies which are engaged in the development of the national intellectual property (IP) system of the Kyrgyz Republic. Thus, creation of an effective system of IPRs enforcement and training of professional resources regarding this issue are among the main objectives of the National Strategy of Intellectual Property and Innovation Development in the Kyrgyz Republic from 2012 to 2016 (IP Strategy).
Therefore, to learn the best practices on IPRs enforcement of foreign countries and to share experience in this field is very important for raising effectiveness of the national IPRs enforcement agencies, including courts, of the Kyrgyz Republic. |
