The objectives of the Meeting, within the framework of Strategic Goal VI of WIPO, are to build capacities among law enforcement officials and judges on the enforcement of intellectual property right, to present and build further on the IP Enforcement Study for Countries in Transition, to discuss recent developments – including case-law developments – in this field, to examine other topical issues linked to building respect for IP, such as consumer perceptions and attitudes and strategies for effective cooperation between the various law enforcement agencies and with the right holders. |
