In his letter of June 10, 2013 (Ref. No. 000-6791) (copy attached), Mr. Habip Asan, President, Turkish Patent Institute (TPI), submitted an updated list of the collaborative activities between WIPO and the TPI to be undertaken during the second half of 2013. Among the activities to be conducted in 2013, item 6 of the updated Action Plan specifically refers to the organization of a National Seminar on the Lisbon System and the International Protection of Geographical Indications, in Trabzon, in October 2013.
As a follow up to Mr. Asan’s letter it is hereby proposed to organize the requested event in cooperation with the TPI as per the following organizational arrangements:
Capacity building and promotion of the Lisbon System for the International Registration of Appellations of Origin. |
