The success of the implementation of the WIPO Thematic Project on Intellectual Property and Competition owes a great deal to the organization of roundtables that permitted intellectual property offices and competition authorities of a number of Member States to inter-act and establish a dialogue on how to acquire a better understanding of the main principles and statutes at stake. One of those Member States is Brazil, where, in 2010, the Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) and the leading competition authority (CADE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with that purpose. |
