Titre : Mission to Participate in the High-Level Policy Event on the Creative Industries and the  Launch of the Creative Economy Data Model (CEDM)
Description : WIPO has developed the Creative Economy Data Model (CEDM), a tool designed to assess the creative capacity of economies. The model evaluates the creative economy ecosystem of Member States using a range of indicators to support data-driven policy development. The CEDM is currently being implemented in several countries across various regions. The United Arab Emirates has expressed interest in being the first country in the Near and Middle East region to apply the CEDM and sent an official request, which received a positive answer. The UAE has been a consistent partner of WIPO in recent years and engaged in multiple projects on creative industries. With WIPO’s support and guidance, it carried out two studies on the economic contribution of the creative industries. The key partners in the implementation of the CEDM will be the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Economy and the Federal Statistical Office.
