Expert Mission to provide a refresher training course in the use of the Nice and Vienna Classification syxtems |
| Description : |
(a) providing follow-up on-the-job training to the Corporate Affairs and Intellectual Property Office (CAIPO) staff on the use of the Vienna and Nice Classification systems;
(b) examining the current method used by the CAIPO staff for classifying goods and services to be marked;
(c) providing advice to the CAIPO staff on specific formalities in relation to the Vienna and Nice Classification systems;
(d) further assisting the CAIPO staff in improving their understanding and use of the two classification systems by reviewing applications together with the staff by way of demonstrating the process for determining the particular class for the relevant goods, services or figurative elements enumerated in an application or applications; and
(e) making any recommendations which could be considered useful towards streamlining and improving the use of the Vienna and Nice Classification systems in CAIPO. |
