As per the approved implementation document for the CDIP Project on “Enhancing the Use of IP in the Creative Industries in Developing Countries in the Digital Environment”, one of the deliverables for 2025 is the organization of workshops in the beneficiary countries. The Undersecretariat of International Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile, which is WIPO’s key partner and focal point for this project, has requested to organize a workshop on the digital publishing ecosystem at the Pereira Palace in Santiago, Chile on March 4 and 5, 2025. The Ministry of Culture will also be partner in the organization of the workshop. Chile has indicated its interest in focusing on practical aspects and involving as many industry experts as possible. The workshop will be an opportunity to use the content and tools on publishing prepared during the project implementation, and to discuss the issues, related to data in the publishing industry.
