The IPDP shall constitute a framework within which to enhance Botswana's capacity to create, protect and make strategic use of IP System and assets as a tool for economic growth and development; it shall seek to ensure that, the IP Office(s) and potential users, generators, such as, among others, tertiary institutions, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), chambers of commerce and industry, agrofood industries, R&D Insititutions and copyright owners organizations etc. have the technical capacity and know-how to use the IP system for development in line with the country's national development strategies. |
