The conference aims to bring together related key stakeholders to discuss the latest developments and best practices in the protection and promotion of geographical indications (GIs) in both agricultural and non-agricultural sectors. Participants will have opportunities to learn about recent legislative updates, tools, and challenges related to GIs, while sharing case studies and success stories from producers and relevant organizations. Additionally, the event will examine the role of collective trademarks and GIs in driving collaboration, enhancing competitiveness, and promoting sustainable tourism. The conference will also serve as an international platform to promote the Lisbon System and showcase relevant WIPO projects related to GIs. |
