The Government of Uzbekistan will be hosting the IVth World Conference on the Creative Economy (WCCE), in Tashkent on October 2 to 4, 2024. The 1st World Conference was organized in 2018 in Bali, as part of the process, initiated by Indonesia, which led to the adoption of the 1st UN resolution on creative economy for sustainable development, in 2019, that established among others, “the International Year of Creative Economy for Sustainable Development , 2021”. The following conferences have been held in alternance, in Indonesia and in another country (Dubai in 2021). Since the beginning of this initiative, WIPO has contributed to the programs with keynotes and interventions.
