In the framework of the cooperation for development program of WIPO, developing countries are being encouraged to draw up national intellectual property (IP) development plans dedicated to the establishment of effective and development-oriented IP systems in order to derive maximum benefit from the system.
An IP Development Plan referred to as the Development Plan has been signed by the Director General of WIPO and the representative of the government of Mozambique on 2010. The components of this plan are focusing on some agreed areas which will facilitate the use of IP in furtherance of the country’s national development goals and contribute to economic and social welfare. |
