objectives of the meeting are continuing the process of strengthening the capacities of offices in the region to foster the exchange of information in the region, particularly in relation the following items: current situation and future perspectives of the LATIPAT Program, main tools for the exchange of bibliographic data of patent documents (standards, formats and data quality control and data workflow processing), main tools for the exchange of full text searchable patent documents (definition of document type, treatment of image format documents, tools for the generation of exchange formats-WIPOScan and Image Tool, legal status information exchange, electronic gazettes exchange, support and cooperation mechanisms for the exchange of information and last but not least, promotion and dissemination mechanisms, communication tools, dissemination strategies and other initiatives to support access to patent information |
