Titre : Sub-Regional Workshop of Experts on Trademarks of Central American Countries and the Dominican Republic
Description : - to carry out a group of round tables to exchange information and guidance on the substantive examination for trademarks in the subjects and cases that are causing difficulties or are topics of interest in the Offices in relation to the examination and evaluation of trademark application. Note: Analyses to be carried out in the context of the principles in the Harmonized Trademark Manual and in order to identify possible aspects that need to be complemented;
- training in aspects related to the classification of products and services (Nice and Vienna) and the use and Management of available tools, including search engines, classifiers/service mangers (GESMARCA or Madrid System);
- to identify the elements that allow to work in the design of a sub-regional training program of training of trainers in the brad examination. The needs and priorities of each country should be taking into account, as well as its capacities and existing human resources; and
- identify possible future actions to continue supporting the Offices in the creation of capacities for the brand examination. Possible actions for the development of the Sub-regional Training of Trainers Program on brand examination should be included.
