By his letter dated December 7, 2010, (Ref. No. ARIPO.10/1/2), the Director General of the African Regional Intellectual Property Organization (ARIPO) requested the assistance of WIPO in co-organizing the WIPO-ARIPO Regional Patent Drafting Workshop. WIPO responded positively as the activity had already been included in the work program for 2011 of both the Africa Bureau and the Innovation and Technology Transfer Section.
