Study Visit for Four Patent Examiners from Oman to the Egyptian Patent Office (EGPO) |

In the framework of the implementation of the 2019 workplan of the Regional Bureau for Arab Countries, and based on prior consultations with the Director of the Omani Intellectual Property Department as well as with the Acting President of the Egyptian Patent Office (EGPO), it is proposed that four Omani patent examiners undertake a Study Visit to the Egyptian Patent Office from March 18 to 21, 2019.
The objective of the Study Visit would be to enable the examiners to learn about the good experience of the Egyptian Office in the field of patents and its working methods as well as to receive training regarding practical cases of patent protection. WIPO will finance only three examiners as initially planned in the 2019 workplan. The fourth examiner will be financed by the Omani Intellectual Property Department. |
