In accordance with the Cooperation Program between WIPO and the Ministry for Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine (MEDT) for 2018 - 2019, WIPO is requested to assist Ukraine with the development of its Intellectual Property Strategy.
In this regard, it is proposed that Mr. Ron Marchant, International IP Expert, former Director of the UK IP Office, and highly recognized expert on IP strategies, be engaged by WIPO to provide assistance as requested by Ukraine. MEDT confirmed that Mr. Marchant would be an excellent expert for the task.
It is also proposed that Mr. Oleksandr Shevchenko, Assistant Program Officer, Section for Caucasian, Central Asian and Eastern European Countries, accompany Mr. Marchant during his two missions to Ukraine, in February and June 2019.
Stage 3
June 2019 – Second fact finding mission for three days of Mr. Marchant and Mr. Shevchenko, including meetings with all relevant stakeholders. The Mapping Report will be presented and discussed during these meetings. |
