As per memo attached, Regional Meeting:
• Conduct inter-active and focused discussions on the tools needed to empower copyright regimes and infrastructures to best service the interests of rights holders and users of literary and artistic works for economic, social and cultural development;
• Identify and develop the legal framework (legislation and Treaties) needed for cross border and economic development; and
• Share information on the 2019 agenda of the Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights (SCCR) to consider the interests of the region in its future work.
National Workshop:
The objective of the event is to deepen the understanding of stakeholders on the current challenges of copyright, highlight the advantages of the WIPO copyright treaties and of updated and compliant Copyright laws. |
