The agreed Work Plan 2014/2015 under the Funds-in-Trust for Building Respect for Copyright and Related Rights (FIT-ROK/BRIP) between WIPO and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) of the Republic of Korea, includes the organization of a WIPO MCST–KCC Interregional Workshop on Copyright Enforcement in the fourth quarter of 2014.
Objectives:
(i) to consider the value of copyright and related rights (CR) protection and enforcement to the social, economic and cultural development of the participating countries;
(ii) to provide basic training on remedies and CR enforcement measures, with a particular focus on the digital environment;
(iii) to discuss topical issues in the area of building respect for CR; and
(iv) to envisage national and transnational strategies for effective cooperation to build respect for CR. |
