Further to the attached communication with Mrs. Yaa Attafua, Chief State Attorney of the Copyright Office of Ghana, it is proposed that WIPO collaborates in the organization of a two-day workshop on the promotion of the Marrakesh Treaty to be held in the Accra Conference Center.
This conference will be sponsored by WIPO together with the World Blind Union, and a number of local stakeholders including the Ghana Book Publishers Association and the Ghana Blind Union.
The program will focus on the study of the provisions of the Marrakesh Treaty and their implementation into national legislation, as a follow-up of a stakeholders meeting organized by the Copyright Office of Ghana in January this year.
I request your approval that Ms. Lung undertakes this mission. It is also proposed that WIPO covers the cost of the coffee breaks of this meeting.
A cost estimate is attached. Funds are available for this expenditure under Program 3 line item 0007 P1055. |
