The workshop on Mastering the Game, on October 27 and 28, 2014, is designed around the WIPO publication “Mastering the Game: Business and Legal Issues for Video Game Developers” and will provide an opportunity to look at the complex business and legal issues related to the copyright protection applicable to video games, among many other issues. The WIPO study “The Legal Status of Video Games: Comparative Analysis in National Approaches” will also be presented and serve as additional information material for the session.
The workshop on Making a Living in the film Industry, on October 30 and 31, 2014, is being co-organized with the Dirección de Cinematografía del Ministerio de Cultura (Cinematography Division of Ministry of Culture) and PROIMAGENES Colombia. This event has been repeatedly discussed with the copyright office of Colombia as the office has a great interest in supporting the local industry stakeholders in their understanding of the importance of copyright to the financial success of their industry. |
