The seminar aims to (i) raise awareness among government officials responsible for IP and those in the ministry with responsibility for sport, on the linkages between IP and sport; (ii) build capacity of the attendees to implement effective IP strategies empowering them to develop policy and programs for sporting bodies in their countries to acquire, protect and exploit their IP assets; and (iii) promote IP tools and strategies that will encourage economic growth of the sports industry for the attending member states. |
