Follow-Up Advisory Mission to Myanmar on the Establishment of TISCs |
| Description : |
Advisory mission to Nay Pyi Taw (July 27 and 28) and Yangon (July 30 and 31). The objectives of this mission are to:
- Hold consultation meetings with the national authorities concerned (including at the senior level such as Ministers and/or Deputy Ministers of MOST and Education, depending on their availability) and relevant stakeholders to explore the way forward in setting up a national network of TISCs; and
- Provide training on access to patent information and use of patent databases to MSTRD, universities, and institute of higher learning as well as to the designated staff of the new national IP office as such training would be useful for patent examination and it is complementary to the on-going training and capacity building programs provided by WIPO in other areas of IP administration. |
