Titre : Sub-regional Workshop on the Effective Management of IP Assets for SMEs
Description : Foreseen in the 2015 Work plan for Program 30 and following consultations with the Regional Bureau for Latin America and the Caribbean it was decided to organize the planned training program in Port of Spain, in cooperation with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Trinidad and Tobago and the University of the West Indies (UWI) with a focus on the commercialization of IP assets within the framework of the ongoing IDB REACH Project for which the UWI is the executing agency and the main beneficiaries are private sector companies and in cooperation also with the Caribbean Export Development Agency (CEDA), which is also partner to the IDB REACH Project.
The activity aims at building capacity with respect to the strategic use of intellectual property (IP) and underscoring the importance and effective use of IP for adding value to SMEs both nationally and regionally.
