A regional conference on Intellectual Property (IP) in the Digital Economy for Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SMEs) in Romania has been foreseen in the 2016 work plan of the Department for Transition and Developed Countries (TDC) and the SMEs and Entrepreneurship Support Division.
In her letter of January 18, 2016 (Ref. No. RGII/339, copy attached), Ms. Irina Lucan-Arjoca, Deputy Director General, Romanian Copyright Office (ORDA) requested WIPO to support the organization of the Regional Conference on IP in the Digital Economy for SMEs, to be held in Bucharest, Romania, on April 20 and 21, 2016.
WIPO’s commitment to assist Romania in this endeavor was confirmed in the letter dated January 28, 2016 (copy attached), from the Director General to Deputy Director General Lucan-Arjoca. |
