Reference is made to the projects and automation activities under FIT/Japan for Africa.
A regional training workshop on Data Quality Management, Exchange and Online Services is hereby proposed. This regional training workshop is focused on strengthening the professional and technical capacities of Industrial Property Offices (IPOs) in the Sub-saharan Africa and will be funded by from the FIT/Japan for Africa budget. This initiative will mainly focus on building capacity and technical skills for IPOs to take the next step in modernization of IP services and provide online services.
The objectives of the Training Workshop are to:
(i) create better understanding of data quality management issues, opportunities and challenges;
(ii) visualize the relationship between client-facing and back-office services, and administrative procedures that impact client experiences;
(iii) share knowledge and experiences on WIPO’s online services and products available to the Member States; and
(iv) share knowledge, best practices and experiences through country reports. |
