This workshop is a follow-up to the initial seminar, which took place in 2015 and its objective is to provide granularity in areas such as “Valuation and Pricing of IP Assets” and the “Importance and Economic Aspects of Industrial Designs”. This event is also in the framework of collaboration between WIPO and the International Trade Centre (ITC) with whom we have an MOU signed (please see attached). Therefore, WIPO has invited ITC to participate in this event and contribute with expertise in branding and export marketing. Invited participants each from Afghanistan and Tajikistan will contribute with their national experiences on the use of IP by SMEs in their respective countries. In addition two other international speakers were identified, namely on IP valuation (Mr. Omer Hiziroglu) and on spin-off/start-up experience (Mr. Emil Pot). |
