With reference to the approved Work Plan of FIT/Japan (Industrial Property) for the fiscal year 2016-2017, the Trust Fund will provide financial support to two workshops to support the development of Industrial Property (IP) Office Services in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region and some selected countries. The proposed Sub regional Information Technology (IT) Workshop is the first one in the series as planned to present the recent technical development of WIPO business solutions to support on-line business services in the region and to better utilize the Industrial Property Administration System (IPAS) for that purpose. The Workshop will be organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), in cooperation with the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL), and with the assistance of the Japan Patent Office (JPO). |
