Please refer to the attached letter from Mr. Nikoloz Gogilidze, Chairman, National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia (Sakpatenti) dated October 18, 2016, referring to the discussions I had with him during my recent mission to Georgia. In this letter, he requests WIPO’s assistance in carrying out a more focused exercise for determining an appropriate IP related response to meet the needs of Georgian SMEs in the agro food sector. Please also see the attached e-mail discussion between Mr. Napolitano and subsequently by myself with Ani Gobechia of Sakpatenti providing the background and context to this discussion. This was also a recommendation for inclusion in the IP strategy of Georgia which the Government of Georgia is currently finalizing. |
