A regional conference on Intellectual Property (IP) in the Digital Economy for Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SMEs) in Romania has been foreseen in the 2017 work plan of the Department for Transition and Developed Countries (TDC) and the SMEs and Entrepreneurship Support Division.
In his letter of June 21, 2017 (Ref. No. RGII/3850, copy attached), Mr. Doru-Adrian Păunescu, Director General, Romanian Copyright Office (ORDA) requested WIPO to support the organization of the Regional Conference on IP in the Digital Economy for SMEs, to be held in Bucharest, on September 20 and 21, 2017.
WIPO’s commitment to assist Romania in this endeavor was confirmed in the letter dated
June 23, 2017 (copy attached), from the Director General, to Director General Păunescu. |
