WIPO initiated technical assistance activities on its IPO Business Solutions to a number of offices in the Arab Region where travel restrictions for WIPO apply. These offices are Lebanon, Iraq, Palestine and the Syrian Arab Republic. WIPO adopted the train-the-trainer approach to lead its technical assistance whereby focused training to the appointed focal points from the mentioned countries was conducted and trainees were guided to carry on with the deployment activities and subsequently pass on the knowledge on the system to their colleagues at their respective offices, and under overall guidance and remote support from IPOBSD project team. In the said context, WIPO started to coordinate with the said offices on project formulation and outlined resources requirements and timeline for the deployment of WIPO systems. |
