The main purpose of this Sub-Regional Meeting is to present the updated version of the Manual on the processing patent applications, and the annexes corresponding to:
- the harmonized criteria of the PCT processing requests;
- the criteria for the establishment of novelty and the inventive activity in the area of polymorphs and salts, the main aspects to consider in the examination of the “Complex Applications”;
- the document on criteria for the establishment of the novelty and inventive activity in the area of biotechnology; and
- on particular aspects on the management and examination of “utility models”.
